On-Campus Experience: Fontbonne University Girls in Science, Science in the City

IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN APPLYING

    On the Registration Form, there is a section entitled, “How Did You Hear about Girls In Science?” In that section, you MUST provide the complete name of your Boys & Girls Club in order to be considered for the slot.

    June 12 – June 23 and June 19 – June 30, 2017

About the Program

    Girls in 7th – 9th grades who are interested in science and/or biology are encouraged to apply. These young scientists will be trained in experimental design and analysis, genetics and PCR, parasitology techniques, coding and model building, and animal behavior. We will also explore technology in the lab and 3D print some of our own lab equipment!


Eligibility Requirements:
    •  Must have an active membership in a Boys & Girls Club
    •  Must be a female
    •  Must submit an application form
    •  Must be entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grade in the fall
Grade when applying
    •  Rising 7th, 8th or 9th graders
Slots Available
    •  3 slots available
Terms of On Campus Summer Experience
    •  Scholarship value: No fee
    •  Lunch will be provided
    •  This is a daily program. No overnight options
    •  Transportation to/from the university is NOT provided
